Thank you so very much for uploading the lyrics of Sri Purandara Dasa kriti, Hari smarane maado. This kriti is one of my most favourite kritis of Purandara Dasa. It touches listeners' heart if sung from the heart, not just from the throat. Unfortunately, too many vocalists sing this kriti just from the throat, because they are trying to merely entertain the rasikas, not enlighten them. The lyrics you have posted has helped me a lot. I have seen the lyrics at several websites, but none as clear and lucid as this: correct words and correct pronunciation, too. Almost all non-Kannadigas, Tamilians especially, several of them considered "top vocalists", and even Sangeetha Kalaanidhis, have used wrong words and mispronounced several words. I like the version sung by Smt Rama Ravi. She sang this kriti from heart: the way Carnatic music must be sung, with bhaava and bhakti. And because she sang this kriti at slow tempo, in unhurried manner, bhaava came through very clearly. Because I was born and raised in Mangaluru, I know Kannada: Mangaluru Kannada,(not Bengaluru Kannada). Thank you very much.

Yes pronouncing correctly can only be done if you learn Kannada as well as a local, listen to MLV exceptional
